What is your birthstone?

Tourmaline and Opal

What is your favorite piece of jewelry and why?

Oh, so many choices. I'd have to say a right hand ring- something I change regularly and look at often! Or maybe a pair of dramatic gold earrings. Today it's a locket we found in one of Grandpa Anton's WWII trunks. It has the sweetest photo of him and my Grandma - must have been taken when they were in their 20's. I wear it on a long, diamond station chain by Hearts on Fire.

How long have you been in the jewelry industry?

Since birth. Seriously though, I had no plans to work in the store, let alone own it as the 3rd gen...  I envisioned a career "making a difference."

10 years as a youth & family social worker before I decided to explore the family business.  10 more years working both in the store & at our local juvenile detention center on weekends (because I loved the kids).

I have been at Panowicz for well over 20 years now.

I understand what an honor it is to help our friends commemorate the celebrations of life!  & to steer a company that holds philanthropy & community as a core value.

I believe we do make a difference.

What do you love most about Olympia?

So many wonderful people working together to make this a great community to work, live and raise a family!

What is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face?

Sharing a meal with friends, an unexpected hello from a passerby, game nights with family & friends, sunshine on a crisp, cold day & of course, a new piece of jewelry...

What is your ultimate dream vacation?

10 days in a villa in NIHI Sumba, swimming & watching the wild horses run on the beach. (we said dream, right?)

What's something on your "bucket list"?

Visit the Azores, specifically Ponta Delgada.

What is your favorite quote or saying?

“Let your spirit shine!”

Which are YOU?! UW Husky or WSU Cougar?

Woof, woof baby!
