Distinguished Leader Award Honoree
A Heartfelt Thank You
Distinguished Leader Award Honoree
We are incredibly honored to be recognized as one of the honorees for the 2025 Distinguished Leader Awards presented by Leadership Thurston County. Thank you to this beautiful community we have. Thank you to everyone who is working so hard to help better the lives of the children, the seniors, the rescue animals, the arts and so much more for allowing us to partner and support. A wholehearted thank you to my parents Rob & Linda, my aunt Ruthann, uncles Rick & Russ, and especially my grandparents Anton & Madeline (Madge) Panowicz. They exemplify what it means to lead with heart, vision, and humility. They have all helped me to understand that the act of giving, whether through time, resources, or friendship, brings such joy and personal fulfillment.
I know firsthand how Anton and Madge taught us that kindness and empathy are at the heart of all meaningful connections; that the true magic of friendship, family and community is in our willingness to step out of ourselves to connect and care for one another. I will be forever grateful for their lessons and encouragement. The understanding that offering a warm smile or starting a conversation can be life-changing for someone who feels isolated or out of place. Leading with generosity, compassion, and selflessness, they demonstrated how everyone can make a difference, and hopefully play a small part in improving the lives of those around us. Anton and Madeline's legacy is a testament to the fact that when we come together, support one another, and work for the greater good, we can build stronger, more resilient communities that thrive for generations to come.
